O įvairios apsauginės plėvelės ant stiklo kaip pagalbinės sensoriui netarnauja. Jų paskirtis yra kita, UV filtras, akinimo mažinimas ir pan. Dažnai sensoriaus vietoj apskritai nebūna jokių dangų, o IR - tai tikrai :-)

Tačiau daviklis po pakeitimo į ne oem'inį stiklą gali neveikti dėl kelių priežaščių. Pirma, keitėjai neretai jį sugadina arba blogai/neteisingai priklijuoja; stiklo kreivumas sensoriaus vietoje būna ne toks, todėl šviesos sklidimo sąlygos pasikeičia ir pan.
